Meet Tanya, the SEO Challenge student. She’s one of the most committed people I know!
Before the Challenge:
When Tanya joined the SEO Challenge course, she just got a job at a marketing agency and she was very nervous about all the tasks. She was just starting in SEO and was afraid that her lack of knowledge will not let her to successfully pass the probation period.
After the Challenge:
Tanya did not only passed the probation period, but she also became one of the most valuable employees at the agency. I asked Tanya to share her experience a few months after the course. Here’s a full nterview with Tanya.
Where are you from?
My name is Tanya Vyonh and I’m from Ukraine, currently residing in Toronto, Canada.
What do you do?
I work as a junior SEO specialist for a digital marketing agency.
Why did you join the SEO Challenge Course?
I decided to join the SEO Challenge Course to improve my technical SEO skills. Another reason is that I used to with Kristina before and I love her way of teaching. So, I was 100% sure that it would be one of the best SEO courses available out there.
What did you like most about the Course?
First of all, the “challenge” mode – a combination of offline and online elements. I don’t think that there is any other SEO course offering this learning mode.
I liked that we had a 30-day learning plan with all the daily missions. This required us to better manage our time to complete our homework.
We also had catch-up days for those who weren’t able to complete their missions on time.
The videos were pre-recorded so that everyone could watch and learn at their own pace. All the materials were very well prepared.
All the processes, tools, checklists and templates are gems! They are the ones that I’ve been using at work after completing the course. Kristina is AMAZING – she is a respected expert in the SEO field, and she came from a teaching background. A combination of these qualities ensures that you’ll be able to understand even complex technical concepts. Moreover, Kristina always pours her heart and soul in everything she does so you don’t even have to question the value of this course, it’s the best one you can find on the market as of now.
What are your one main takeaway from the SEO Challenge Course?
I learnt so much and it all seems to be important to me. Here are my takeaways:
- If you’re wondering if SEO is dead or if it’s been replaced by Social Media. The answer is ‘no’. There will always be SEO jobs.
- There are 3 pillars of SEO: content, technical SEO and link-building (outreach)
- Content is king and will always be.
- Always learn about the business you’re doing SEO for.
- Not all the technical issues on a website should be fixed
- It’s important to know how to execute SEO but it’s even more important to know how to communicate the results of your work to your boss or your client(s). By the way, Kristina touches on basic tracking and analytics set up in this course. It’s a great bonus.
How did the Course help you in your job?
After this course, I have a much better understanding of SEO in general and its technical aspects in particular. I was able to conduct SEO audits for multiple clients – small businesses and enterprises – and received positive feedback on my work from the team and the clients.
As I mentioned above technical SEO was one of the reasons I enrolled in this course. Overall, it was the best and the most useful SEO course I’ve taken so far. The learning experience was top-notch compared to other SEO courses on Udemy and other online platforms but what makes it really stand out from others is the instructor. Kristina is brilliant!
Would you recommend the SEO Challenge Course to others?
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who looks forward to starting their career in SEO or junior SEO specialists, like me, who have some knowledge about SEO but want to level-up their skills.
